Wow these guys are good at making you think you owe them

Wow, we about got took also. They sent me a letter about an account that was closed 7 years ago. The man i talked to on the phone said that they did not report to the credit bureau. He was willing to settle for half of the debt. But if i didnt accept within days the ammount would go up. So what's the point. I will not be paying this, and I will be sending the letter back that I am disputing the charges. The man could not itemize or explain anything. I will be sending along all the information gained to the north carolina attorney general. He likes bringing down internet crooks and this seems like a huge scam.
