I have been disputing a claim on my credit report from Calvary regarding a Sprint bill. On the original negative item on my credit report it states that Calvary states the creditor was SPRINT PCS...

I sent both the Credit Bureau and Calvary another letter stating I disputed it. Calvary never responded to my letter... However... CALVARY PROVIDED THE FOLLOWING INACCURATE STATEMENT TO THE CREDIT BUREAU...

By law, we cannot disclose certain medical information (relating to physical, mental, or behavioral health or condition). Although we do not generally collect such information, it could appear in the name of a data
furnisher (i.E., "Cancer Center") that reports your payment history to us. If so, those names display in your report, but in reports to others they display only as MEDICAL PAYMENT DATA. Consumer statements included on your report at your request that contain medical information are disclosed to others.

What the... Calvary is now telling the credit bureau (apparently) they can't release the info because it is covered under a privacy act...

How stupid is the credit bureau? The original negative clearly shows sprint was the creditor...

I just fired off another letter sending it certified return receipt requested telling Calvary (copy to credit bureau) they had better retrack that statement and prove I paid them (which they can't...) and further for supplying REALLY INACCURATE information to the credit bureau, I told Calvary if they don't correct it now, I am going after my $1,000

Also I am sending a copy to the FTC... Attorney general...
Comments anyone???
