Valery Myles Timothy J. Ryan The Lottery Scam

Miscellaneous

I received a letter in the mail, it had are forwarding address information on it since we had moved several months prior. The top of the letter was the Logo THE LOTTERY, Subject: AWARD CLAIM FINAL NOTIFICATION

The letter read like this
Congratulation!!!
After numerous attempt to reach you by phone have failed we are pleased to inform you throught this letter that our network system shows you as the lucky winner of unclaimed prize money in the amount of 150 000.00 USD. The system showes your were selected as a winner on such and such date.

It goes on to state all participants werer selected through a computer ballot system drawn from Readers Digest, There was enclosed check of 4,995.00 USD, it said this was to cover taxes and fees for processing. It also stated to please do not attempt to use this chek untill you call and speak with claim agent VALERY MYLES for further insturctions on claiming your winnings.

It also stated to keep your claim number confidentially secured until your claim has been properly processed and funds remitted to me and as a security protocol to avoid andy double claims. There was even a note at the bottom that said to all prize money must be claimed and finalized befor such date. There was a seperate number to verify funds.

I called the number and they totaly could have conveince some on. The lady on the phone told me to deposit the check and then call her back when i had done so. She said after that she would give the number to the gaming commison and schedule a appointment to come to my home with security and present me with a cashiers check from bank america

The check was very real looking even the water mark was there. The thing that caught my eye was the check was made out from a food company. Why would that be. The envolope was a plain white envolope with no return address and a stamp from canada, and said support mental health (weird)

I googled the address from where it was mailed from and saw another simialar report. I new right away someone was trying to scam me. I looked up the company that the check was issued from, sure enought the check was written with stollen infromation. They told me void the check and send it too them asap..

I'm so glad i took the time to reasearch this i can not afford to be ripped off. All though i have to say i was also disappointed because i could really use some extra money. Oh well maybe someday my real ship with doc. Untill then please be very carefull of what you get in the mail. If it sounds to good to be true it probaly is.
