Sold me a genetically defective puppy

I thought I did my research in preparation for my first ever purchase of a puppy and Rendach talked the talk. I was naive and too emotional about the whole process; I should have had someone more experienced help me.

I didn't even notice that my puppy's father was the only dog on their web site that was pictured from the waist forward (no back legs shown). When I met him in person, his back legs looked and moved oddly. I asked about it but was assured he was fine.

There were 2 or 3 litters of puppies in the living room and everything looked healthy and happy. The puppy I was interested in was very sweet.

I met with Danielle of Rendach two times and after spending time with the puppy I noticed her back legs were overly "soft". I'm not sure how to explain it but they bend too much in the wrong direction and she wobbles a little when she walks. Her last rib on each side would almost pop out at times; very strange, and she also has a bump in her tail. Her personality, however, was wonderful and I went through with the purchase.

She is a precious little dog and I wouldn't trade her for the world but the thing that really upset me was when Danielle was trying to "close the deal" and she had the gall to say, despite my puppy's obvious physical flaws, "I thought about keeping her and showing her for confirmation." I wanted to reply, "How stupid do you think I am?" but I guess I AM the stupid one because I went ahead and handed her $850.

My puppy is now 1.5 years old and currently healthy but I have grave concerns about the future use of her back legs and other serious health issues that may crop up.

I'm glad to have found a forum to voice my concerns and would recommend no one else purchase puppies from Rendach.
