The Above Company Sending Bad Checks

Platinum Shoppers Inc sent me a mystery shopping letter with a supposedly "valid" check... However, I caught several things which started to make me worried.

1) The main number 403-399-2153 is supposed to be in Alberta, Canada while the PO Box number is in Houston TX.
2) The fax number 347-394-0038 is registered to some place in NY. Again, while the company is registered in TX.
3) The company states in its letter "The objective of this assignment will be toevealuate the effectiveness and efficiency of a payament system called Western Union or Money Gram... And they are asking me to send an additional 3200 to them. And they are asking for me to send it to several different ppl Kiath McDonald in Brentwood NY, Brian Edwards in Howards Beach NY or Allan wilson in Brooklyn NY and they wanted me to call their accounts manager which was not specified in the letter...
4) The form wants you to provide personal references and they do not have enough space to enter the phone number
5) They want to know where you are working on top of that including your supervisor.

Looking at the check I started to pick it apart. Here are the findings:

1) One the routing number is 588245895 which when I scan that against the Federal database it comes up empty.

2) The address of Ceridian which they have posted on the check has a misspelling.

3) ARG Resources LLC is a restaurant chain in Atlanta and most likely does not have anything to do with Platinum Shoppers Inc.

With all of this information. I think this is a rip off and you need to watch out for it.
