Crazy excessive nsf fees

Washington mutual is crazy. On 10/10/08 i deposited a cashiers check for 858.00 the check cleared on 10/15/08.By a telephone reps. Admission, that check cleared on the same day that another bank attempted to conduct an authorized funds transfer. However, i was charged a $33.00 fee anyway. I asked for a supervisor. I was nice, polite and when the supervisor came on the line named "lisa" i was just as nice to her and i asked if there was anyway that just this one time the $33.00 could be reversed since everything happened on the same day. Lisa's response was that since i had already used my once per year fee waiver, another fee could not be waived until my next anniversary date. This is no way to treat a customer. I have really been hurting financially. I was recently laid off and took a commission only job to try to make ends meet. When i got the 858.00 commission check to deposited right away to pay a few bill and the balance of my september rent. That's right september, and we are now in october. I have been treated like a terrorist by my own country. I filed for unemployment and was told my identity could not be verified. I have had my ss number since age 10, my california id number since age 18 and i have been a registered voter since age 20 i had to appeal and submit what seemed like tons of documents to prove who i am. All the while working a part time commission job to keep from being evicted out of my apartment of 9 years, now washington mutual is trying to nickel and dime me. I had just enough money in the account to pay the balance of the previous months rent and a couple of bills. I counted on having about $50.00 left to buy groceries. But when wamu slapped that $33.00 fee on me it left me with $17.00 for food not knowing when i would ever see an unemployment benefit check and knowing it would be another 4 weeks before i see another commission check. Hasn't wamu learned anything after being sold??? Obviously not. You're going down wamu, and i am glad you crashed.
