National readers service won't allow me to cancel my account

National Readers Service called me one time and sold me their products saying the onthly charge was around $19 dollars. I agreed to have the service and was told that I can Cancel srvice anytime. When I saw my bank statement, the charge was $39.90 which I thought was too much for a monthly charge. I called them to cancel the service and it seemed fine then I got a call from their collections department stating my bill was past due. I called them again and they said I can't cancel the service. Then someone called me at my work phone saying the same thing. I received no disclosures or anything stating that I can never cancel my service. My bill is piling up monthly and they just won't allow me to cancel.

Please assist me on this one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
