"You are part of a small pre-selected group " (MEANING NO REGISTRATION FEES)

I received a letter from Shoppers Reports, Inc. October 1 indicating due to the information they have ascertained, I am part of a "small pre-selected group" to represent their company as a mystery shopper. They enclosed a cashier's check for $4992 with a breakdown of attached funds. I would receive $350 for training and salary (that's all?), Wal-Mart purchase $50, Gap purchase $40, Western Union transfer plus service charge $1657, and a Moneygram transfer plus service charge $2895. My first thoughts were
"something is not right" I never registered to be a secret shopper. Then to read the letter even further if was from Stephanie Miller (Chief Assignment Co-ordinator) from South Jordan Ut. The envelope have a Canadian stamp, and the check is from Black River Fall, WI. This is when I checked the BBB website but found nothing, so I googled the company's names and wow! There are so many reports on this company. Thank God for The complaint.
