Bottom Feeders of the WORST Kind!

I, too, am a victim of these life-sucking vermin. I got behind with 2 credit cards back in due to the loss of my spouses job and my hours being cut. The cards were turned over to Asset Acceptance LLC and First Resolution Corp. They, in return, gave it to LBN. One card was for $500.00 and one for $1,000.00. I now owe almost $8,000.00 combined!

These scum used some private summons service to deliver a summons sating I was being sued. They left it at an address I used to live at and I never recieved the summons. I had always thought they had to give it to you personally, but I have since been informed that that's not the case.

Based on the fact that I didn't show up for a hearing I knew nothing about, I lost. They got a judgement granted to garnish my paycheck for $225.00 a month. This continued for a year, totaling over $2,500.00. After a year, they inform me that they also obtained a judgement to garnish my check for the 2nd card, again, with no notice of the hearing, though they said it was delivered.

A week after I recieved the letter about the 2nd judgement, they sent me a letter stating they were canceling the garnishments for the first one. This was in 2006.

Two weeks ago they had my checking account frozen! No letters, notices, Nothing! I filed for exemption, based on undue hardship and they were required to give me back the money that was taken from my account, but I still have to pay them. The $2,500.00 I already paid was like it never existed. The amounts are higher now than ever. When I asked them why they stopped the garnishment, they said it was to give me a chance to pay it myself. What crap! They wanted the interest on a debt that I thought was already paid.

The day of the hearing, the judge informed me to contact them and set up arrangements. I did and was treated like crap (that's a cleaned up version of the truth!). They wanted $250.00 a month. When I told them I couldn't pay that, they asked if I owned my house (they already knew I didn't as they had run a credit report on me the day before). When that idea didn't work, they told me to go to the bank and borrow the money to pay them! As if the bank would lend me the money after they put a judgement on me! Then they tried to get me to take money from a retirement account!

I told them that I would pay $60.00 per month, per account ($120.00 a month). They agreed, but said I would have to increase this amount in 3 or 4 months, that it would barely keep up with the interest at 9.75%. I informed them that that was all I could pay and all I was ever going to pay.

I am royally screwed, unless someone knows something I don't. I may have to pay them, but they'll be waiting 10 years or so to get it all!

If anyone out there manages to hang them by the "you-know-whats", I would love to hear about it! I don't know how they, or anyone working for them, live with themselves.
