Raised my apr to 35.08 for no reason - they said "because they can."

I've owned a small business for over 5 years. Advanta has been one of my credit cards. Slowly they have raised my rate, but this month they raised my rate from 15.99 to 35.08. I have never been late or have gone over my limit - with this or any other credit card or bill. My personnal credit is great as well.

When I called to inquire as to why, I was told, "because we can." I was also told that they had sent me a letter explaining what they would do on my next bill. I never saw a letter.

So after 3 phone calls where they promised to have a supervisor call me back - never happened - they said that from my records they could tell what a great customer I have been. (They just raised my credit limit last June.)

What a great reward I get for paying my bills on time! I don't know how this can happen.
I don't know what to do. My next bill is due the beginning of October and the minimum is more than 2x what I normally pay.
