Miscellaneous

Hello Everyone:

It is my hope that no one is going through this, but if you notice individuals in your family with sinus/allergy symptoms, breathing problems, skin problems, there are a variety of symptoms of mold intoxication, I emphasize to you to have your home checked for toxic mold. I purchased a NEWLY BUILT home in 2002. I was so proud of myself. This was my first home. I moved my grand-mother in with me.initially there were numerous problems with this home. To mention a few major problems, the air conditioning kept breaking down, the water heater kept breaking down, water was coming into my home through the back door which saturated about 5-6ft. Of carpeting as well as soaked through into the basement wall, thousands of green flies coming through closed windows/doors into the home, grading problems, mold assessed by inspector in 2002. My home builder fixed some of these listed problems but they did not repair the water leaks and flies coming into the home, I was told that "there is NO mold in this home, the inspector is not properly qualified/licensed to perform home inspections; we must have built your home on a fly hill (haha) you need to call a pest control company. He went into the basement and closed the vents to keep flies out then stated I didn't need them opened. This act disrupted the air quality within the home. After code inspectors reopened the vents in 2007 we felt an improvement with the air quality; it was just filled with Stachbotyrs. I trusted this employee because he represented a company who seemed trustworthy. Me and my family have been so sick since moving into this home. I found out after hiring a biologist who performed specialized testing that my home was infested with toxic mold. It got into our bodies, food and all our belongings. After finding out the problem, we immediately left the premises and contacted the homebuilder again to correct the wrongdoing of an employee who failed the community he served regarding ensuring we lived in safe dwellings that are covered under a warranty. I received a letter from the homebuilder stating all my problems were due to condensation and I should control it immediately. Thats strange because their newest warranty supervisor stated he ordered me a back door as well as promised to buy me a dehumidifier. I could no longer afford one because my health declined so dramatically, I could no longer afford my health insurance premiums because they skyrocketed. I did everything I was told to do to properly maintain this home. I feel robbed, like a murder attempt had been placed on myself as well as my families lives. We never received the back door or dehumidifier...
