Best Buy Geek Squad non existant customer service and either does Gateway after I bought laptop with no audio card

I bought a Gateway laptop in March from Best Buy. I hestitated about getting Gateway but was assured that it is a great company and then getting Vista was A HUGE MISTAKE! I never have had audio on it and it seems the driver for the audio was never on the computer. I took it into Best Buy, they charged me upfront $289 without even looking at my computer. They took my CC info. Over the phone and said I would sign for it when the fixed computer would be picked up. A week later I was told it was ready. So when I picked it up, still no audio but now I had none of the previous software I had just installed on it, including music and photos. I took it back in, another week later and $140 more still NOTHING... No audio card and no music or photos. They did reinstall the software without any of the data which I could have done on my own. They wouldn't reinburse me for the $289 so I had to dispute it on my credit card. Every time I've called the Bellevue Best Buy nobody ever picks up in the Geek Squad, it can ring for 45 minutes or until their phone hangs up. I did have someone at one point pick up the phone to dial out and realized I was on there calling them and they said they would 'transfer' me and instead hung up. It's now August I was out of the country for a few months and didn't take my computer so now I'm dealing with. What a surprise, I called the store and after 32 rings the operator answered and I asked to speak to someone in Geek Squak where it rang for 23 minutes before hanging up. I called back and spoke with the manager and he gave me the Gateway number becasue if I brought it in they would have charge me another $289. Gateway won't help me because I need to buy a technical support account. I've tried downloading all the updated software from Gateway but still no audio and now my computer is super slow from the extra downloads.
I would never buy another anything from Best Buy and most likely not another Windows operated PC or notebook. $1300 later plus the tech support charges plus my time and wasted hours of frustration, nothing is worth this treatment.
