This company searches for people and does background checks

I remember looking for my ex husband online about 3 weeks ago. He moved and I had no forwarding address. So I went to google and typed in a search for sites that offered background searches. So I went to this site. I don't remember ever entering my credit card information. But I look at my bank statement today and I find a charge for $39.99. And the initials MPIS next to it. So I was confused. I called the phone number 304-788-9040 and 304-788-9080 which this site offered for customer service and support. Both phone numbers are disconnected. I have contacted my bank and now I don't know what to do.
