Does not honor satisfaction promise, commits misrepresentation, and won't take back botched orders

I contacted lauren blackwelder of "frank and me" to make customized capes for my website. She gladly took my money and fabric did not pay attention to the specifications of my order. I had a previous order with her and it was fine. The quality wasn't perfect, but the items had the basic requirements.

When i received the latest order, i immediately noticed that the quantities were off. I asked her what her input was on that issue. She told me i could buy more capes to adjust one of the lacking sizes (which means pay for the capes and shipping again which she charges $25 dollars for). I told i was over budget and just wanted what i had ordered. This time she said she couldn't do anything to help. Upon closer examination of the capes, i found that they would not fit children's necks and the colors were wrong. The new neck sizes are 7 inches smaller than the prior pieces.

She went on and on about being a simple crafter. She even went so far as to say she had her 2 year old son help her make them. She states she is a limited liability company, yet won't call herself a business owner. Her delusions are pitiful.

Long story short, she messed up the colors, the sizes, the dimensions, the pattern (which she also went on and on about being copyrighted and how i was never supposed to use it), and the quantities of specific items.

I asked her to pay back half of the money i paid her so that i could fix the capes and mark them down. She told me she is in the red and doesn't give refunds in a very rude manner. Last i checked, if you pay someone to do something and they don't deliver his/her end of the bargain he/she has to pay you back. This sort of breach of contract is pitiful and nauseating. I tried to meet her half way and she continued to try to get more money from me.

If you can't pay attention to what is ordered and deliver said order properly, you should not take said order. Period.

It is off to court now, which is sad because it will cost her ten times what it should.
Once she realized i wasn't letting the issue go, the lies began. She said she never said anything about a pattern and that she works from her mind. This is the same person who warned me over and over not to steal her pattern. She called herself a simple crafter and then told me to send paperwork to her llc. She said she makes one of a kind items, but allowed me to make more than one order of these capes and the items are newly different in the EXACT same way. She said her whole family was lawyers, that she has a lawyer, she studied law, yet is acting in the most childish and unlawful way.

I am all for small business which is why i pursued this higher cost method of manufacturing in the first place, but people who lack professionalism and the most basic respect and integrity for their customers and other business owners should not be allowed to target the public or their clients. She will clearly say anything to get herself off the hook, from pretending that a two year old can work at an llc to lying about the order. She should stand behind her work. I have lost the money i gave her, the money i would have earned from the sale of the goods, the money i will spend in filing fees and travel to sue her.

I have proof of her botched work, all communications, her lies, her unprofessionalism and the breach of contract. Lauren blackwelder of frank and me is a fraud and a hypocrite.
