Aqua Globes From Merchandise Direct / As Seen On TV Ordered one set of Aqua Globes, recieved, and was charged, for 4!

I am actually writing this report on behalf of my Mother...

Just over a month ago, after seeing an advertisement on TV for "Aqua Globes, " my Mother decided to place an order. As per the ad, one set of 3 Aqua Globes costs $14.95 plus shipping and handling. Plus, according to the ad, if one set is ordered, an additional set of 3 Aqua Globes is included FREE-with additional shipping and handling charge (s) only.

Thinking this to be a good product and a great offer, my Mother decided to order ONE set and receive the ONE free set as well. Unfortunately the representative she spoke with on the phone seemed to not accept her single order. He/She pressured and pressured my Mother over and over again to order more and more. It got to the point where my Mother decided to no longer deal with it and subsequently just hung up the phone. She assumed that no order would be sent at all.in fact, just the opposite happened.

Earlier today, two large packages arrived containing a total of 24 Aqua Globes! Both my Mom and I were stunned. But, when we checked her bank account transactions via the internet, we were absolutely infuriated to find out that nearly $170.00 had been debited from her account, causing her to be overdrawn by over $130.00!

We immediately tried to contact the company (ies) Aqua Globes & Merchandise Direct both by phone and through their websites only to find that no way exists to contact them online and, there offices are closed on weekends. We'll have to wait until Monday to call and resolve this.

Without a doubt, every one of these Aqua Globes WILL be returned, every cent will be returned to my Mother's bank account, and she WILL be contacting The Better Business Bureau. All in all, she and I are both absolutely livid that a company has so blatantly taken advantage of a potential customer.

If anyone is thinking of ordering Aqua Globes, I just hope that this message gets to them first. Buyer beware! This company has a rotten way of treating people.
