They almost had me!

I rec'vd a call on my cell phone from a Mr. Mike Rogers stating that I had taken out a payday loan back in Nov. He told me that I owe over 5K and if I did not pay it my case would be down loaded and I would be arrested for mail fraud. Bounce check, and wire tampering. He also said that if I wanted to OOCR (Out of Court Resitution) then he needed to transfer me to the resitution department.

At that time I spoke with a Mr. Mike Rogers, Mr. Rogers read to me the charges against me and if I wanted to settle my account he would se my account with him today for over 1K. I was a little shaken and I told him that I did not have $1,000.00.in my haste I told him that I could pay him $500.00 today and he told me that if I was to do that then he would work out the rest of the payments, however I needed to fax a letter apologizing for not paying the debt. I told Mr. Rogers that I would have to call him back because I needed to transfer the money into my account.

Thank God I Google the name and found out that all of the stories was just like mine. Also, he called my cell phone, I didnt get this number until about a month ago, he also could not give me my home address. Can someone reassure me that I am doing the right thing by not paying them. I really cufuse and some what affraid.
