Admits to not informing parents of ipops varying prices but now will they give info of how to resolve this?

This is a follow up on my 7/19/08 letter. A admitted John Robert Powers employee replied to my letter and for that I am very appreciative of. Finally having a response from the company is an amazing step. This employee was nice enough to confirm my gripe about price differences of over $5900 being charged for IPOP.

I first spoke to Zoey (Director of Las Vegas JRP) about the charges a few days before IPOP and he expressed to me his regret of the owners decision to charge different prices for different parents. He stated he wasn't comfortable with the practice and would speak to IPOP. The first night of IPOP I again spoke to him and he said we would be refunding the difference of $5900 to me. My wife and I agreed and we made no complaints for the duration of IPOP.

I was unable to attend any of the events of IPOP and either of the black tie events but my wife attended all the events with my Daughter. During the awards banquet my wife was taken into the hallway adjacent to the ballroom. At this point Barry Macdonald introduced himself as a rep from IPOP stated he would be handling this situation and is not JRPs' responsibility. Barry said he would call us first thing Monday morning once he is in his office.

Wednesday I called several times to Barrys' office finally getting him on the phone at which point said he needed to discuss this with the owners. I called again on Thursday to which he offered me IPOP for 2009 and classes for refund of $5900 in credit. I declined a credit due to the fact that I would not prepay for an event that far in advance and secondly that my Daughter had 14 call backs and we would now be needing the money to travel to LA and New York.

He said he understood and would discuss a cash credit with the owners. That conversation was the last time I was able to get anyone from IPOP of JRP on the phone. I left messages for Tiffany Rachel VP of IPOP, Ron Patterson President of IPOP. I had to research to find my JRP owners and left many messages for George Caceres and Michael Palance. Neither company will even call to discuss. So, JRP employee pass the word.

Let's see how reputable and professional your company is. Until than I will be offering this to my local television stations and newspapers. And to think, all I ever wanted was a conversation with ownership of JRP or IPOP. I am still hoping to resolve this.
