Please read: future students beware!

If you are planning on going to the swift driving academy DON'T save yourself alot of hassles and money first the recruiters will LIE and say whatever they need to to get you in "they get paid bonus for meeting certain numbers" keep that in mind your just a number to this company. Mine was LUCY HERRERA overly nice on the phone (that should be a red flag) but when you finish the academy won't return any of your calls.

Next lie she told me was "you'll be making over 41000 a year your first year that breaks down to about 850.00 a week pretty good change you wont others i have talked to have had runs of only 1600 a week and at. 26 per mile and after deductions its less then 200 dollars a week. I went out with my mentor he was great about the only person that seemed to give a shit after my 6 weeks with him SONIA PANTOJA said if i go out with my mentor for 10 more days i will get preference on getting my truck that is another LIE.

When your with the mentor they pay you a nominal daily pay but not enough to survive after waiting 15 days to get my truck my interim driver manager KEVIN SANDERS gives me a truck i go out to my truck and IT DIDNT START (BIG RED FLAG) it was dirty inside pretty much a peice of crap with a ton of miles on it ripped upholstery etc i would be embarraded to give a truck of the condition to anyone. When i walked back to tell him he yelled over his shoulder "go to the shop deal with it"... Deal with it???

I left. Luckily i found a job with a small local company driving an end dump but the thousands of dollars in income lost because of this company has ruined my credit (many late payments) almost devastated us financially they really dont care about you the driver as long as freight get to where its going they will get paid find a community college or a better driving school but do your research well PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM SWIFT I'd bet if you researched other former student im not alone in this senerio BEWARE STAY AWAY FROM SWIFT
