Miscellaneous

I woke up yesterday thinking I would just make it to the bank, pay the rent, buy groceries and pick up my medicines. What a shock to find $297.00 missing from my very fixed social security income check. I immediately called my credit card service and was given an 800 number to call, what a joke.

First, the 800 automated number asks for your order number, hummm, I didn't order anything. Then it asks for your card number (last 8 numbers), or your phone number. After this, it says they cannot locate an order, hummm again, then how were they able to take this money out of my account?

After all is said and done, then they say to leave a message and someone will get back to you within 24 hours, what a joke again, I've been waiting over 36 hours and counting. So I called my credit card company, again, and was told I had to fax a letter, disputing the charges and it could take ten days or longer to get my money back.

What I don't understand, and would love to hear from anyone else in this predictament, is what do I do now. Get evicted for not paying rent, starve for not being able to buy food, or die without my very necessary meds (I have tumors raging through my body, it's only a matter of time). I'm not supposed to get stressed, but it is very hard at this point.

I use the computer to keep in contact with my daughter in Chicago, I do not have extra money to spend foolishly. I cannot wait 10 days, does anyone know how to get in touch with these people? I'm all ears, thanks...
