BWP Mags
BWP Mags Scam

Miscellaneous

I have also been scammed by this company, promised magazine subscriptions and a $1000 shopping spree for $49.99. I was rushing and not paying attention during the first call and simply agreed, as they said they'd be calling back to confirm. When I received the next call, I had had the time to think of what they were offering-actually multiple payments of $49.99 over years-and told the woman that I did not wish to go through with the offer. She told me that I could cancel the next day without problem if I went ahead and followed through with the verification voice recording. Trusting her, I verified the sale and called back. The next person I spoke to said that I couldn't cancel over the phone and sent me a cancellation form and informed me that it wouldn't be a problem. Months later, I am still having direct withdrawals from my debit account from the company, costing not only their fees, but overdraft fees from my bank because I thought that it was cancelled and taken care of. Now their customer service tells me that they have no record of any cancellation, that I can't cancel anyways, only to turn around and say that they did receive the form and mailed me a letter saying that they would not cancel it because I agreed through the voice verification system. These people are cons and liars-beware.
