Knew it was a fraud from the moment I received it

I received a piece of mail (no return address) from Shopping Facts Inc. This mail included a check for $4998 and instructions on how to spend the money. Anyone that receives suspicous checks and/or cashier's checks should do the following:
*Note the postal stamp and the address of the company. (mine was mailed from Canada with a Delaware business address)
*Hold the check under a bright light. Turn it at slight angles, focussing hard on the background of the check. You will find, very faintly, the word VOID hidden multiple times. It is hidden well enough for the bank tellers to not even notice; but, it is there all over the check.
*Do an internet search for info. On the company.
*Go to, hit the Reverse Lookup tab, type in the phone number listed and see where the phone number hits. This company's phone number is a cell phone number in Oakville, Ontario, Canada.
*Double check the bank name online, verify the phone number. Ironically, all the checks come with different bank names. Mine is on a Stoneham Bank cashier's check. Phone numbers do not match.
*Please be aware that this will probably not be the only time these people hit. A couple of months ago they generated a lottery check for healthcare providers. I also received that one. Thankfully, I am a very analytical person and didn't fall for this either time.
I report this to the FBI, online services (such as this one), and even the banks that these people are claiming to have accounts with. They will be caught. I just wish those unlucky ones they scammed were allowed a little one-on-one in a locked room with them. I know what I would do.
For those that have lost thousands due to this, my prayers sincerely go out to you with a hope that you will recover your losses.
These scammers disgust me; but, justice always has a way of serving itself. And it will!
