I recieved a letter from the Publishers Sweepstakes Registry back in August. It read that they were delighted to announce my name as the grand prize winner of Publishers Sweepstakes Draw. It said, please contact your agent whos name was Gary Miller, without any delay and the enternal revenue agent handling my file was No other than Mrs. Alice preston. And of course the Cheif financial officer was a Daniel Foster. I Called Mr. Gary Miller and he congradulated me and told that I only needed to send $500 because the rest of the $4,900 would billed to me after I recieved my winnings. Of course I was nieve and I sent the money where he told me to and that was a women by the name of Shirley Curtis. I didn't ask who this woman was. I just thought that may be the person who handles all of the financing there. After that he told that someone should be at my house within 4-6 hours to deliver my check. He called me back to tell me that the dilivery guy should be at my house the next morning which was on a Saturday to deliver my check. Saturday morning came and he called me again saying there was a small problem. I needed to send like $1200 for insurance to be put on the check just incase it was lost or damamged. I told him that I didn't have any more money and he asked me if I could get a loan from a friend and not to talk about my winnings because ti was dangerous. I could only get $500 so he told me that would be fine and he would make sure the rest would be paid. I was a little scepticle then so I called Alice preston and she assured that the check was real and I would recieve it as soon as I sent the insurance money. I sent the other $500 and called Mr. Miller and he said he was going to make sure my winnings were delivered the next morning which was maybe a Teuseday or Wednsday. When the day day came There was no delivery man or woman and I was furious and I felt stupid because I gave these strangers money I didn't have and altogether they had gotten $1500 out of me and I never recieved any winnings or a refund for my money. I defenatley was fooled. I called the attorney general here where I lived and was told to forget about the money that I had lost because there was nothing I could do about it. So I did until I found out about complaint.
