Trying to settle a debt, charging me double what the account was

I recently was trying to buy a house, but, of course I have judgement against me from LBN. Well I originally owed my original creditor for a repo which was $9,700. Well when the judgement was filed against me in Decemeber it then became $10,700, okay i understand legal fees and all.

Well my mother got ahold of them and made a $5,000 dollar payment to them so it would free up a hold on my property that i gave to my parents. They told my mother that the $5,000 would not go towards my original debt of $10,700, that it was just to free the property. They also told my mother that the account was collecting interest at 19% which now my account they say is at over $21,000 dollars. If there is anyone who can help me with this i would deeply appreciatte some help.
