I was charged $1,278.00 in overdraft charges in one month!

I really don't understand what happened to my bank account this month. I have visited the branch three different times this month, and I spoke to two different bank representitives on several different occassions and they even had trouble trying to figure out what has happened.

This month alone I have made $5,142.70 in deposits, I spent $3,919.43 in purchases and paying bills, and I had $1,278.00 in overdraft charges. I am so confused I don't know how it happened. Every time I make a deposit I get another overdraft fee and I'm back in the hole again, and I started the month out in the positive.

The reason I and the representitives I spoke to can't get the account figured out is because they bunch several charges into one lump sum instead of listing one nsf fee with one overdraft item. The way this is done it makes it impossible for customer's to keep track of how much they are being charged.

Every time I make a deposit it is held for seven days because I don't have the money in the account to cover the check and I end up with more charges. I borrowed money from my 401k to clear up this account and that check was held for seven days and I was charged more fee's. I borrowed money from my sister and a friend and their checks were held for seven days again I was charged more fee's.

When will this highway robbery of innocent people stop? Times are hard and I'm on disability right now from work and the NSF fee's alone this month took almost my whole check. And they continue to hold my disability checks for seven days. I intend to close my account this month and just put my money under my mattress, it's safer that way and at least I know where it is.

Is anyone going to stand up and help the poor innocent people of this country from being taken to the cleaners by corporate america??
