Hopes and dreams turned into a scam by crooks

I received a letter dated may 13 stating that i had won prize money in the amount of $57,000 dollars. My name was supposedly drawn through a computerized ballot system as a winner of the 2008 sweepstakes.

The ballot system was drawn from readers digest, publishers clearing house, online sweepstakes, internet games, etc. I received the letter on may 22

I also received a check with the letter in the amount of $3,977.65, that was to cover the administrative payment and clearance fees of my winnings. I was to contact agent justin green, at tel: 1-514-569-5763 to authorize and process my prize no later than may 28. Claim #US/WA-03/31-099TG.

I finally reached a lady that told me justin green was unavailable on may 26, she said she could help me. She asked my name and ref#944761WO58. She said for me to deposit the check in the bank and wait for it to clear. When the money was in my account to call her back, and i would have to send them $3,700 to cover the taxes, and they would send me a check for the remainder of the $57,000.
