Intelius
Gave/sold my name to Privacy Matters

I did a simple look up on Intelius. The next day I received an email from Privacy Matters stating that I had signed up for a subscription with them. I immediately emailed tham that I did not subscribe to them, I wanted to be deleted from their database and if my credit card was charged I would pursue the matter with the attorney general and my credit card company.

Too late for me, I began researching and found similar experiences with other individuals who used intelius. It's too early to see if I get charged, but if so I will have to go through my credit card company to refute the charge.

Calls to Intelius and Privacy matters left me on hold forever which means they either get lots of complaints or they don't answer their phone.

I did contact my attorney general's office. They found 2 complaints about Intelius in their database.

I will follow up here when I get more info.
