Pyramid scheme selling for quill.com

This company posted ads for sales and training positions located in central phoenix for a company that does the marketing for several large corporations including Verizon, AT&T, and Staples. It turns out that for the 1st interview you show up at a tiny office with two chairs and receptionist desk... No decorations anywhere. (I probably should have left then) Presumably the president of the company is conducting interviews just that afternoon but I notice in the 15 minutes I am there 3 other interviewees coming and going.

The 1st interview was fast and he assured me he wasn't looking for sales gurus but rather trainers. I was called that night to attend a second interview the next day where I would be able to tag along on a sales call.

Turns out that the 2nd interview was an unpaid 9-6 thing where they didn't even pay for lunch even though they tried to explain the "non-pyramid" scheme to me during my personal time.

The day was horrible! The sales person I was with was already a "leader" after 3 weeks on the job and had not even been given his first commission-only paycheck. He made me walk into the funkiest businesses in South Phoenix with dress shoes, long pants, and sleeves after riding in a car with no A/C. He sold new business accounts only for Quill.com. Unfortunately a "leader" that had quit the previous month had already saturated that area of town (this guy's only territory) so we kept getting kicked out of places.

He also informed me throughout the day that he had done time in tent city for drug possession... Great huh? He even wanted me to buy him lunch and cigarettes since he was low on cash. All day he kept telling me the crude text messages that he was getting and how he was updating the boss on my interest in the company.

Had I not been stranded in So. Phoenix without my car I would have left after the first "sales call." Don't fall for this stuff please!!!
