I discovered this little scam as a result of my membership with AFF. I received an e-mail from a woman with a great profile, great pics etc telling me she just upgraded her membeship at AFF, lived only a few miles from me and where did I go drinking on Wednesday night. She proceeded to tell me how hot she was for me and directed me to another site she said was "free for her and would be free for me" if I wanted to chat with her as she didn't want to chat at AFF. Guess what, free to look but pay to play, and guess who runs the site? You got it-Friendfinder, Palo Alto, CA. Immediate suspicion-how did she get my e-mail since it doesn't show in my profile and what made her think I went drinking anywhere any night? I filed a report with AFF and all they offered to do was refund the unused portion of my subscription, which they did. I've not only been ripped off by these people, but they are attempting to spam their own members.
