Raked Me Over the Coals. But the tables have turned!

We first brought our car into Jim Raboin to have a new timing chain and water pump put in. It took Jim forever to get the car done. He never answered or returned phone calls and when he did he'd say "the car will be done tomorrow" but then it would be a week before you heard from him.

After we got the car back it ran fine for about 10 miles. Then it started to idle real slow and then die when you came to a stop. We called Jim up and he said bring the car over to take a look. Sure enough it was the... Timing chain. Well he offered to do the labor for free if we paid for the parts.

Well come to find out the sprocket on the water pump had ground of leaving tons of metal in my oil. This caused the tenisoner to not operate correctly and then caused the timing chain to fail. Jim tried to say the pump was bad. We've spoken with the company that manufactures the part. They told us the pump had to be installed incorrectly.

Jim cleaned the metal out and then fixed the timing chain again. Well you know the story it failed again, after waiting forever for the car to be done. Once again the timing chained failed and Jim offered to do the labor for free if we buy the parts. Although this time the timing chain had to be OEM quality. So we paid $600 for this timing chain.

Well Jim gets the car done and tells us that we now owe him $540 dollars for the extra parts (which we had agreed to) although they were damaged do to his initial installation. But $240 of that was for additional labor. Well by now we're pissed!!! So we told Jim we would talk to a lawyer about this.

When I called Jim back the next day he said for get the money I took my parts back and you can come get your car for nothing. Well the car's engine was ripped apart and the pieces thrown in the trunk. It would take forever to figure out what goes where to put it back together.
