We recieved a letter and a check for the amount of 4,970 from the Bank of Alaska, but just now found out from this website this was fraud. So I guess we will be paying the money back to our bank, because the check is counterfeit

We recieved a letter and a check in the amount of 4,970 and call and ask for a Tony Young or Heather Snow to activate the check. It was signed by Amanda Clayborn. The letter coming from New York says to cash the check from First National Bank of Alaska and then they said to Westeren Union it to a Emily Cowan in Houston Texas. We made the mistake of cashing it and I hope to help warn others not to fall for this scam.
