They lied to me then called me a liar but I still got my money back!

I received a call on 10.28.07 concerning the card I had returned to be entered into their book for "free". The gentleman talked me into joining. I called back the next day to cancel and was told it was non-refundable. He then passed my # to someone else who I played phone tag with for awhile.in the meantime, I contacted my credit card company to cancel these charges. They disputed it but ended up paying them.in cambridges disputing my claims they stated their services were "highly personalized" yet on the first page they called me by the wrong name. DUH!!! That is also where I learned that the airline tickets were attached to a hotel or resort for 4-14 days. When I mentioned I'd use them to see family out of state he never mentioned that.

I contacted newstations in my area and wrote an email to Cambridge stating I was contacting 20/20, Dateline, NY Times ect. To show that they were breaking the law. I also filed with BBB in NY. Within 3 days someone called me and I stated my facts, he basically called me a liar, I stuck to what I wanted and my credit card was debited for the full amount.

When they are confronted with breaking the law they will bend and given in. They are betting on the fact that most people won't follow though on getting their money back. I rebelled and I still hope to have one of the TV stations expose them. If everyone writes them and complains they will notice the pattern and look into it.

I hope many others will pursue getting their money back. It took me 5 months but it was worth it.
