Secret shopper attempted ripoff

I received an unsolicited letter from these people today for a secret shopper assignment and a "check" for $2850.00. The letter had a Canadian stamp on it but the "check" was supposedly from a company in TN called Norandal USA. A quick check shows that this is apparently a legit company that does metal fab work, unlikely to have anything to do with secret shopping. Letterhead is marked "Quality Service Evaluators" and asks for $2300 to be moneygrammed back to them.

This has all of the warning signs of the standard fake check money to Canada scheme, especially given the other warnings about this company.
