Ramey refuses to provide a safe work environment

I worked for Ramey for several years and had a lot of friends there. There were 2 problems, one being minorily insignificant and the other being horrendous. The first happened after only being employed there for 2 weeks. I had a small incident with a piece of equipment. Noone was hurt and nothing was damaged, but Braxton Gray proceeded to give me a tongue lashing and cursing that could make a grown man cry. The equipment was defective, and was not my fault. Two weeks later, he apologized to me. All was fine for several years till a new manager took over the department where I worked. Roy has anger issues and could easily fly off the handle.

On many occasions, the slightest thing would set him off and he would scream and curse at fellow associates and on occasion throw things around. Roy was bigger than me. The incident that took place which lead to my quitting took place a week before. He was out for 2 days, came back and was "unhappy" with my performance.

Upon arriving to work that morning, I greeted him and he preceded to cuss at me and slam his fists into boxes of cabbage. Then ordered me to follow him to the back, where he threw more things around and cursed even more. I feared for my safety. He wrote me up. Later that day, I reported his behavior to my superiors, Braxton Gray and Bobby Peterson. They said that they would take care of it. Nothing came of it. Other associates had previously reported him, but to no avail. Under his management, I lost 30 pounds, largely due to stress. Fearing for my health and safety, I accepted another position with a different company and took a $2.50/hour paycut. And am much happier now.
