Employees of covenant go thru personal belongings, no u turns, ridiculous rules

While I am a ten year veteran driver I heard good miles was the rule at Covenant Transport but when I went there for orientation I heard the truth from their drivers first hand.
While I was in orientation we were staying at their motel, they own it, and while I was in class: my things and my roommates things were gone thru. That is just wrong.
Also they will fire you for making a uturn if they findout that you do one in their bigrigs.
The truck I did my certification test drive in was pure junk. I did pass without any problem though.
The employee handbook is actually a 71 page book with ridiculous rules, and etc.

They take advantage of student drivers to absurd proportions. They claim to be a Christian organization, but this is uncalled for.
Students had been there for 2 to 3 weeks waiting on a trainer. Approximately 200 people go thru orientation each week. Wow! Ever wonder what kind of retention rate they have? I am sure it is about 10 times greater than they claim.
Missed check calls come out of your check at $25.00 each occurrence.

If you are in an accident and you are found at fault as a preventable accident you can be charged up to $500.00 deducted from your check.
Forced Dispatch! You can have a power inverter but only 1000 watts. So much for that microwave. Please check any papers really good before you sign your name and know what you are signing.
I have worked at a few trucking companies and this one takes the cake. They even charge the drivers for pre-paass, ezpass.$4.00 a week.
Sorry that I wasted 4 days just to decide not to work there.
They did get me a bus ticket home but their shuttle van got me to the bus station in Chattanooga, Tn at 6:30 and I had to wait until 9:45 for that bus to Knoxville, Tn. I had to sleep on the floor at the bus station for 7 hours, and then pay someone to pick me up at the bus station for a 62 mile ride to my house.

They like to hire students because they do not know any better and most students leave there within 6 months if the actually stay that long.
No company should be allowed to treat professional drivers like this. Experienced or not!
Good luck and stay away from these big giant montrocity companies who run over the working man or woman. They only care about the bottom dollar. $money, money, money. Earn 1 day at home for every 7 away, what is their problem. They want you to stay out about 5 weeks at a time, how can you have a family like that?
