At every opprotunity Sprint will not hesitate to screw the customer in light of making a fraction of a cent:

They initially mislead the public and sell phones that have extremely diminished capability in range, lie about the true cost and true coverage of "service", freeze your account access privileges for complaining about the unprofessional backhanded service, repeatedly erroneously bill customers, refuse to correct obvious billing errors, charge $7 service fees to pay bill at Sprint locations, offer an insurance program that essentially makes you a thief in their eyes automatically upon filing simple damage claims, send you to collections over a final $40 within two weeks once you switch to a better provider.
Don't be fooled by their advertising propaganda they are doing a horrible job.
It's so bad at Sprint that they are loosing market share.
