They deleted my account and i was paying someone elses loan for a over a year!

Let Me make this as short as I can... I received a letter from the home insurance company stating I was no longer cover since they didnt receive the yearly premium. Also my taxes were not paid.

I called the insurance and county to verify this and it was confirmed. I called homecomings and adviced them on whats going on so they ask for my account number and I give it to them. They said that account number does not exist.

Then they ask for my social and home address. Even under that they couldnt find anything. I told them that all the checks I have been sending to the company were all cleared by homecomings for the past year!!!

I have proof through my bank account statements. They didn't transfer me over to any that could help. The only thing she kept saying was that they cant find me.

I called about five times until someone finally said to stop making payments so i did! I finally decided to call my previous mortgage company to see if they can help. We the lady found my previous loan number with aaaaaaaaaaall my info and told me that the system shows that GMAC is handling my finances.

From there she was going to try to get in contact with the right person. Finally after a month I receive an email forwarded from her contraining an email from GMAC supervisor asking for my number so they can contact me imidiately.

Guess what... They never did.in the email it stated two possibility... My info was lost or the account number was rearranged which is a lie. If that were true then they would have been able to find my account through my social and if it was deleted then they wouldnt have been able to inquire about my credit 4 months before I called them.

So I finally decided to call the lady on the email. Dana Katz 18007664622 ext 23653. Very nice lady, FINALLY, someone who can help! I told her whats been going on and now finally its over for me. We fixed the problem.

Although she wouldnt admit that this all occurred by someones fraudulent actions, she wasn't able to explain how this could have occurred. She explained the check was being cleared because the account on the check belonged to someone else.

I didnt understand that b/c my account number was 8 digits long instead of 9 which is what they require. Then of course, the owner of that account never said anything (criminal). Makes me think he was in on it with the employee from homecomings

Oh and get this... A check of mine that was used electronically back in November was used again in January. They presented the actual check this time but of course since I had an electronic stop on the company and the mortgage amount, I got my money back.

I then told dana what happened and she checked the system which didn't show that transaction taking place. It also didn't show anything about anyone attempting to clear that check.

Now I have to get a copy of that check to see who signed the back I guess!
And I am waiting to see my mortgage on my credit report which she also said was reported to the credit Bureau in December. So yeah, for a whole year it wasnt on my credit.

So now I pay more for my new vehicle than I should! = (
