Rude management, unsatisfactory services, wont cancel my account!

This company sounded good to begin with. I was getting 5 magazines for $20 a month for a year and i would get the magazines for a total of 3 years. I am a lifeguard and like to read magazines so i went up on the offer.

I used my cell phone for if they need to contact me. Soon i was getting up to 6 calls a day from these people asking me to upgrade to more magazines. Finally i had enough!

I talked to the lady and told her i wanted to speak to a supervisor. She put her supervisor on the phone and i told them that i wanted the calls to stop or i will be canceling my services.

The calls stopped... For a month or two.

Then the calls started up again. I talked to another supervisor and they told me they were sorry for the inconvience and lowered my monthly rate and assured me that it wouldnt happen again.

Low and behold a few months later they started AGAIN but this time on my house phone. Let me tell you a bit of information on this first. I am 21 and live with my parents, my fathers name is listed with the phone number. I have my own phone number and it is under my name. Somehow they got my parents number and started harrassing their number looking for me to buy more stupid magazines!!!

This is absolutely insane!!!

Today i called the company and wanted to cancel my account. The general services person put me on with their supervisor "S"."S" was rude and impolite telling me that they cant cancel my account because i have payments left.

I explained that i didnt want the services anymore.

"S" told me that i cant just cancel my account without paying because the magazines were still being sent and treated me like i was trying to rip them off.

I explained that i dont want the magazines anymore and i dont want their services either.

"S's" exact words were "you are paying for the services of the company" BUT I DONT WANT YOUR SERVICES

By this time i was getting heated.By the end i agreed to pay $100.00 as a final payment and still recieve my magazines (which i dont want anymore) and that would be the end of it all.

These people are ripping people off and refuse to let you out of their services when the consumer is unsatisfied.

To close this all off "S" told me that i never called their services before or else there would be records of me calling. She basically called me a liar. I have tried to handle this like a civil human being but i feel as if i am being cheated out of $100.00. This is criminal.
