Thief! Farmers and Contractors: Do not hire Michael Ponder!

If you are a farmer or contractor in the Four Corners area of the US: Watch out for a guy named Michael Ponder! (He answers to the name Ponder and is from the Farmington area of New Mexico.) He was born 6/21/74, has dark-blond hair, 5'8" and seemingly sincere. Don't believe it! He's a drunk, meth and pot addict and thief.

I hired him, and after having him work his butt off for a couple of weeks and gaining my trust, I took off for a few days leaving him in charge of the house. The next thing I know, I'm out $30,000 worth of firearms and jewelry. While I was gone, he let his friends in the house, showed them where my stuff was, and let them clean me out to clear up HIS drug debts! He also gave away all of my food and my firewood to his friends.

Michael Ponder is a meth addict and he thinks nothing of making YOUR stuff HIS stuff. He would grab my HIDDEN truck keys and take off in my truck even though he never could show me proof of a driver's license and he was NOT allowed to drive it because he always drank and drove and would pile all of his drinking friends in it and take off for parts unknown for hours at a time. He's had two DUIs within the last three years. It's highly doubtful that he has a driver's license.

He gave away food from my 'fridge and pantry, gas for my lawn-mower, tools and more, to his friends. He loaned my stuff out to so many people I can't find it all. He destroyed so many things around here that it's costing us a fortune to have it all fixed. He doesn't care about ANYONE'S property — including his own.

He's a terrible worker when he does work and he does simply awful construction even though he'll tell you all day long that he made "millions for others." (You should see my chicken coop! Even the chickens are embarassed to be seen in it.)

According to Ponder, he has two children in the Durango, Colorado area and an ex-wife/girlfriend named Tasha. If that's true, he's a dead-beat dad, too. He says "she" wouldn't let him see the children for the last two years. Come on now; if I were a parent, I'd chew my own arm off to see my kids no matter who said I couldn't.

Because of the wreakage he left here in our neighborhood, our entire neighborhood made a pact that whoever got him in their truck first escorted him to New Mexico. I was the lucky one who made the 140 mile trip in 70 minutes just to get rid of him. I dropped him off in Cherry Hill but he's probably in Aztec or Farmington if not Texas or Oklahoma where he has family.

Michael Ponder NEVER takes responsibility for his own actions and ALWAYS blames it on someone else. He's very sincere and can con virtually anyone by acting like the "good" Mormon boy he was raised as. It's just an act! He'll steal you blind, mistreat your animals, and tear your stuff up.

Buyer Beware. Don't hire this man, he'll take you for everything you've ever worked hard for because he doesn't believe in work — hard work or easy.
