I am writing in regards to Judge Daniel A Riley, from the Bridgeview Courthouse in Illinois. He was my presiding judge over my child custody case.

I had a brief relationship with a man when I was 21 years old in the year 2000. After several beatings and mental abuse, I left him. I later found out I was pregnant. He took off. He started to come around right around my due date and was present for the birth, however claiming all the while that the child was not his. He took a paternity test and it was proved he WAS the father. Over the next 2 years, we seen him a total of maybe 10 times.

In December I married a different man, who was enlisted in the United States Air Force. We were soon expecting another child. At this time, father of child #1 took me to court for custody. I was a stay at home mom, I had a husband and another child on the way, a stable home in the same zip code as the father of child #1, my husband was deployed and I had no desire to tag along. I had never had plans to leave the state. We do not drink or do drugs.

Father of child #1 was awarded temp custody because the judge felt my husbands military carreer was not stable enough for my son, mind you... My son barely new his father. 2 days before trail, my husband had been honorably discharged from the USAF, we went to trail and then the judge sends out the order regarding custody. The order states that I am a fit and proper parent, I am loving and perfectly capable of raising my son and having a healthy relationship with my son... However, my husband in now "unemployed" and therefore gave FULL custody to the father... He was discharged 2 DAYS before trail. He had been gone for 7 months and we were not allowed to enjoy time with him?

In the end I have been in and out of court many times to try and change this. I have found pornography on the internet of his father with other men... Yes doing what you think they're doing, while wearing women's clothes, make-up, wigs, nail polish, nylons and high heels, etc. All taken in the home of where my child lives. He has even sent me emails stating that I will never see my son again if I do not do what he wants, and that his sister fixed this with the judge and I was guaranteed to loose, did I forget to mention the sister works in this courthouse? His father is verbally abusive, to both myself and my son and controls every move I make.

He has threatened to "kill" me several times over the years causing me to have a binder full of police reports, as well as one time having the bomb squad at my home. He has taught my son racial remarks and insisted to my son that he only speaks English, we have been teaching him numbers and letters in Spanish. He does nothing with my son, he is un-married, no other children and lives at home with his father as well as meeting other men on the internet and bringing them home where my son is.

He is a huge alcoholic and the judge completely overlooked the fact that we have a wonderful, loving, stable home environment with another child. We have since bought a home and are planning to try for baby #3, we have great family support and many people love and miss my son very much, I only get 4 days of visitation each month, so for him to spend time with my family is almost non-existent.

Judge Daniel A Riley was completely un-fair, even over looking the recommendation the the lawyer he assigned to my son (she sided for me). My son has been going through horrible situations for 4 years now. I am going back into the courthouse next month and I have a new judge. I am praying this one sees the damage the last judge has caused to my son as well as my entire family.

Funny, I found several complaints on Judge Daniel A Riley regarding military cases, he tends to take the children away from those who are serving and protecting our country and giving him the freedom to sit in that bench. If you are in the military and you have a case pending in front of him, you do not have much of a fighting chance. He does NOT look at the best interest of the child at all.
