False Advertising on Craigs List just so they can rip off your money

While checking Craigs List for rentals in Maui, Hawaii I came across a listing which read "$1400 Lovely 3 Bedroom House with Land!!! Rent to Own? Pets OK" the full descripiton of the hosue and property went on to state that most of the house had been remodeled, it was sitting on two and half aces, there was a low remaining balance on this home and that the right persons could take over ownership with no qualifications or cash necessary.instructions were to call "Betsy Cline" at 1-800-207-5651. Even though this sounded too good to be true I went ahead and placed a call to the number lsited. I was disconnected three times and on the 4th time I final reached a person who stated he was not sure what department Betsy Cline worked in but he would be more then happy to tell me about the program, what it cost and if I was interested, collect my money and then he could try to find the so called Betsy Cline. This did not hit me right so I asked to speak with a supervisor. Of course I was told no one was available and I needed to contact customer service at 800-486-3540, which I did and after waiting for 15 minutes finally spoke with a very rude person who said they were not willing to give me any informaiton unless I paid to join there program. I tried to explain to her that the add I saw on Craigs list did not indicate that any program needed to be joined first and all I was trying to do was locate the person who posted the ad in Craigs List. She again said, and very Rudley that if I was not willing to pay and join there program there was nothing more she could do for me. I then asked to speak to a supervisor and she stated she was one and there was nothing she could do for me. I then asked for the Owner and she said she would not give out that information. After checking on this company and finding that several other people have complained I felt it was best to file a report with usacomplaints.com and make sure that everyone is aware they are now branching out to Hawaii. Do not respond to their ads. This company is a rip off and fortunally I decided to check up on them prior to giving them my credit card information. I well also be reporting them to the FBI Internet Fraud Department.
