When I first opened an Obopay account, I was happy. However, I had unbelievable experiences with the Obopay Customer Service that changed all that. For no reason at all, Obopay customer service had me fax in a copy of driver's license - seemed a bit strange because no other bank had done that.
I transferred $25 from one place to the Obopay account and that went through; later $2.90 was transferred from the same place to the Obopay account and that did not go through - with other banks there was no problem with that particular amount. To top it off, I think Obopay talked with the bank where the transfers were coming from because the bank disconnected the Obopay account - that had never happened before with any other bank. I looked and saw there was a negative balance and had money transferred to cover it in the Obopay account.
I looked again, and found that I could not log in. I called Obopay; I got someone who was very nasty and negative - they said the account was cancelled although I had covered it before and was about to cover it again. I had put quite a bit of money in the account. If the customer has proven to be a good client why give them a hassle? Why hurt the customer? I question if racism could have been involved here.
