I have been dealing with Identity Theft for several years. A card someone had got in my son's name. I caught it in time and was able to stop all but one credit card that was mailed to an unknown address. The card was issued by Capital one and according to them the physical card was never used but checks were written. At the time my son was 14. I sent all the info to clear this. Capital One turn it over to NCO. I called after receiving 15 calls within a 24 hr period. I identified myself as only my son's mother nothing else and was given his "Social Security" number which wasn't his and his"current" address. I am so tired of dealing with this. They kept hanging up on the line and when I called back there accents where thicken and very unclear about what they were saying. They accused my son and I of fraud. I was so upset and scared that I just agreed to make payment. They took my info. When I told them that I was under duress while giving them this info they hung up. I called back and they wouldn't speak to me. Pay arrangements have cleared my account. I thought that I had 30 days to dispute and that they had to provide me with information but Christina said no they didn't and that they were gonna arrest my son. We have been aware of all this and my son didn't do anything. He's a good kid and has been honest about all this. There's nothing on his credit report other than the NCO reports. Don't trust these people they'll rip you off.
