Overachiever Enterprises
Bogus Magazine Subscription Company Never Sent Magazines

Miscellaneous

I bought a couple of magazines from a very believable salesperson who told me that he was trying to change his life after making some bad mistakes in the past. He told me that he needed to earn a certain number of points to achieve the next level and he even showed me a list of my supposed neighbors who had also bought magazines from him. Me being a bleeding heart, of course, ordered magazines that I neither really wanted or needed.

I haven't received either of the magazines and haven't been able to get a hold of anyone at the company either. There is only a mailbox message saying that no one is available. The order form looked totally legit and it even had a clause that you could cancel the transaction within 30 business days.

I wish that I had caught this in time so that I could have stopped payment on the check. Unfortunately, I'm out over $112. I feel really stupid over this one.
