Will take measures to protect my back account Nationwide

I received a phone call on my cell phone from a woman claiming to work with American Financial Standard, letting me know that I qualify for 4,500 in grant money for people in my area who are below the income medium. I was told to that the documents would be sent to me in about 7 days and that once I received the documents my bank account would be charged $359.00 for the processing of these documents. She then transferred me to the verification department where I spoke with a gentleman who explained that I would be asked specific questions and to only respond with a yes or a no. Also not to ask any questions during this time.

Once the "verification process" was complete the gentleman asked if I had any other questions, I tried to comfirm that I would receive the documents first, he told me NO that once they received the $359.00 then the documents would be sent out. I asked if the documents could be sent back via FedEx, was told NO, only standard mail.

After reading that other people have been victimized by this company, I will be contacting my bank to block this company from accessing the funds in my account and will be changing my account number Monday Sept 10.
