Werner Enterprises, Driver Management Backdated legal documents, lied to NE Unemployment, lied to DAC about driver status

My first dispatcher got me home a week late for MD appointments. He was also really nasty when I told him I had missed appointments. So, I switched to Western Region. Then, I had a great dispatcher. He gave me long runs, rarely asked me to take runs that required crazy, stupid stuff like driving 5 on, 5 off (a reason for the new HOS), and got me home whenever I needed to be home. But, whenever he went on vacation, or I needed a new load on weekends, I got only short runs and made no money. He started lining up my weekend runs and things got better.

Then, After a year on the road, I had a heart problem. I spent 10 days in hospital and was given a clean bill of health. Werner safety in Omaha had me call them daily. When I was released and given a clean bill of health, Safety told me to go to the Phoenix terminal and get a DOT physical. Did that. Clean bill of health. Werner safety again told me to wait a week for their doctor to review my file. I did. Safety then told me to call the following Monday.

I did. I was transferred to VP of Safety. He told me I no longer drove for them since I was suspended for medical reasons almost three weeks earlier. I was surprised and said this was news to me. He said he had just signed the order that I was suspended that morning, so it proved I was medically suspended three weeks earlier. I gave up trying to get him to admit it was impossible to take retroactive action like that.

I filed for Unemployment. I had an interview with a woman who took down all the names, dates, times, and orders I had been given since I got sick. When I finished, she said Werner told her I voluntarily resigned the day I got sick. But, since I had documentation that they were giving me orders and those orders were based on me returning to work once doctors cleared me, she was determining that Werner lied to her (and the State of Nebraska) and she was granting me unemployment.

Turns out Werner also reported to DAC that I quit the day I got sick.

A couple weeks later, I answered an ad and started teaching at a college. Unlike many who drive for the Big Blue Screw, I have options.

I liked my job with them until they screwed me by backdating documents and trying to convince me that backdating is actually current dating (War is Peace, Slavery is Freedom), lying to DAC, lying to unemployment, and otherwise acting like weasels.
