Ripped off for FREE credit report

I requested a FREE credit reoprt online a few months ago from Experian. Checked my credit report as per instructions. They saidf they needed credit card number to verify credit history and I was just charged $12.95 on 10 Aug.

Now I have to argue with my credit card company about getting the charge removed.
