Took the Money and ran Ripoff

I contracted Rick Brown of R&J Contractors of Jackson, NJ to put an addition on my home and to remodel and make some repairs to the existing home. I contracted with him in May and the work was to be started in July and completed at the end of October. Needless to say, the work is not complete and the contractor has dissappeared. Rick Brown has closed the business here in New Jersey and opened a new business in Hampstead, North Carolina under Brown's Custom Building Corporation. He was last seen working at my home at the end of June and he does not answer phone calls made numerous times.
