I bought a 1999 Explorer from these people. I had several problems wit the car i had to repair myself at my Cost. Due to these unforseen expenses I was late on the payments several times and I had let the insurance lapse in march and again in July due to deaths in the family and having to cough up plane ticket money on a days notice. Not one time was I ever 30 days late on a payment. Never. This would make me a pretty good risk with any other creditor but not Marerik.

This month at 20 days late they picked up my car. I called on Monday morning and they refused to work with me and sain I would need to find another lender to pick up the note.

So in the end Maverik gets the vehichle back and they get to sell it again. I Imagine they will make 5 times their initial investment by the time this car is off their books.

I suppose I could of avoided this if my I had not suffered a broken neck and loss of family memebrs and suffered from lost pay as a result of al this. Never the less I never went 30 days late with this thing. If this is legal then it shouldn't be. It all leaves me with a sick spot in my stomach. Guess where the owner refered me... Drive Time San Antonio... Can you belive it!!! Look at the reports on them. Last I cheked it was not against the law to have bad credit or to be 20 days late on a payment... How do these people sleep at night??? Do not buy from Maverik Motors. They are theives as far as I am concerned.
