Concerning orson moses and adoption international program: this report is not about the guarantee of a certain child but about intentional misrepresentation, fraud and gross negligence.

My adoption story started in the Summer of 2006.

1. The boy whose picture Mr Moses posted on his website and claimed is in Taraz, Kazakhstan waiting to be adopted did not exist, no one has ever heard of him. The photolosting, medical, all the updates were total misrepresentations. I speak some Russian so I could communicate with the staff at the orphanage. Three days before I had left on my first trip Mr. Moses reassured me again that my boy was there in the baby house waiting for me. BTW throughout my dossier process I kept asking him to be switched to another region if the little boy was not there since Taraz is a very hard and expensive place to adopt from: it requires three separate trips or two very long stays and I am a single Mum with two other kids waiting at home.

2. My waiting time for a court date (after the 15 day visitation period) was 2 months and ten days: no other parent from other agencies had to wait longer than a month. I was never told why I had to wait this long (there were no problems with my documents whatsoever).

3.in addition to the adoption fees, AIP required me to pay for 48 days in advance, at 175 dollars a day for the accommodation, interpreter and driver. This fee is per contract and is non-negotiable. Here is what I found out while in Taraz. The owner of my apt told me the rent of my apt is 2500 Tenges per day. It is about 20 US Dollars. (AIP does not allow clients to stay in hotels, althogh there was a nice one in town for US 63 a day). I had no interpreter, 90 percent of the time. She had not been paid a cent since I arrived there on my second trip, so how could I blame her. Most of the time I could take care of myself, but I was charged for services I didn't have. My driver was very nice and reliable and got paid about 10 dollars a day. If you add this up it leaves about US $145 unaccounted for per day. All other parents from other agencies could choose and pay their own accomodation.

International adoption is never easy and I ended up adopting a great little boy and we are a very happy family. However, the trauma Mr Moses has caused me and many many other families in similar or worse situations is inexcusable and his operations have to be stopped.
