Rip off car sale

This report is to decribe a rip off car sale by the above mention company. My car was repossed on 4/20/07 by this company. Due to non payment, I was ill and could not afford the payment. I called after the car was picked up and tried to make arrangements on the vechicle but the amount was un affordable.

I received a letter on July 2, "Deficiency Calculation"The aboved vechicle was sold at a private sale on 06/14 as a result of your Motor vechicle retail Installment Contract (or it has been abandoned due to a total loss).

Proceeds of the sale (or the insurance check if deemed a toatl loss) did not satisfy the balance on your account and a deficiency exists in the amount of $9577.27 The deficiency amount has been calculated as follows. The Unpaid amount Financed was $13,837.40 less proceeds of sales $ 5500.00. Balance plus expenses (Retaking charges: $553.40 (Charges at auction:$558.70 plus late fees: $128.17 The total deficency owed is $ 9,577.27.

This is ludicrous and there need to be some way that these people can be stopped.
